Donostia Chess Festival

Strong international players and some local players will play the Euskal Xake Eskola tournament. MF Santiago Gonzalez de la Torre (Bilbao, Spain) and Iñigo Martin (San Sebastian, Spain) both of them players of the organizer Gros Xake Taldea will play this tournament together with IM Mikel Huerga (Pamplona, Spain) and IM Alejandro Franco (Madrid, Spain). The tournament has 2417 of rating average and thus, it’s a Category VII Tournament.

Euskal Xake Eskola is a reference chess academy in the Basque Country both for kids and teachers. Many schools have joined their project for introducing chess at schools at many levels.
